Speer Dr. Ronald Only is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Doctors of Osteopathy maintain the same curriculum as traditional medical schools, but their training includes additional emphasis on the human skeletal system. Osteopathic and family medicine are both dedicated to treating and healing the patient as a whole, rather than focusing on one system or body part. Osteopaths deliver babies, perform organ transplants, treat acute trauma patients, and perform brain surgery just like all other physicians. Doctors of Osteopathy believe that lifestyle plays an important role in health and treat each person as an individual, not as a set of symptoms.
